How to prioritize fixes with the Remediation Roadmap

  • Updated

The Remediation Roadmap helps you prioritize accessibility fixes based on their impact on your site accessibility score. It organizes issues into three phases, starting with those that have the greatest impact on your score.

How phases work

Each phase shows how many issues you have resolved. Select a phase to view its open, resolved and dismissed issues. You can resolve open issues directly from the Remediation Roadmap.

  • The impact on the site score updates as you resolve issues.
  • Recurring issues can appear in multiple phases. Fixing one instance can resolve others.

Phase 1: Fix highest-impact issues

This phase includes extreme and high severity issues on pages scoring below 70. Resolving these issues has the greatest impact on your overall site score.

Pages that need fewer fixes to improve their score are prioritized first.

Phase 2: Improve low-scoring pages

This phase includes the remaining issues on pages scoring below 70. After addressing the highest-impact issues in Phase 1, use this phase to continue improving low-scoring pages.

Pages that need fewer fixes to improve their score are prioritized first.

Phase 3: Fix remaining issues

This phase includes the remaining issues on pages scoring above 70. These fixes improve accessibility but have less impact on your overall site score.
