Resolving issues helps you track your project's progress and improve your accessibility score. If an issue continues after the next audit, it will be reopened automatically.
Review the issue details
Go to Explore and select an issue. The remediation panel opens with everything you need to understand and fix the issue, including:
- Assign the issue to a team member.
- Issue description, with a link to the related WCAG clause.
- How to fix this issue, with step-by-step guidance.
- Alt text suggestion generator for images missing alt text. Select Regenerate to get up to three suggestions.
- Your source code, showing where the issue appears.
- Suggested fixed source code: Select Copy Code to use the suggestion or implement your own solution.
- Selector that caused the issue on the page.
- Webpage where the issue was found.
- Add a comment for your team members and then select Comment. Use @ to tag a specific team member.
Update the issue status
At the top of the remediation panel, set the issue status:
-
Resolve: Select this after fixing the issue. The issue is marked as resolved, pending verification and will be checked during the next audit cycle.
- To confirm the fix immediately, select Verify fix. This triggers an audit on the page. If the issue is still present, it will automatically reopen.
- You can reopen a resolved issue at any time by selecting Reopen Issue.
-
Dismiss: Select this if you don’t plan to fix the issue. Choose a reason to help improve audit accuracy.
- You can reopen the issue at any time by selecting Reopen Issue.
- Export: Export the issue from accessFlow to your integrated app.
Note: Issue status updates automatically after each audit. However, once you manually change the status, it will no longer update automatically.
