How to upload and manage manual audits

  • Updated

Uploading a manual audit lets you bring expert-reviewed accessibility findings into accessFlow. This helps your team manage remediation work in one place, track progress, and assign ownership.

Before uploading a manual audit, make sure:

  • You have one audit results file per domain
  • Your audit is formatted as a CSV file
  • Each row represents a finding with the required fields (see CSV file format)
  • Screenshot links are accessible if included

Manual audits are hosted separately from automated audit results. They do not impact your overall accessibility score and are tracked independently.

Upload a manual audit

To upload a manual audit

  1. Go to Audits and select Manual audits.
  2. Select Upload audit.
  3. Select Upload CSV file
  4. Enter an Audit name to identify the audit.
  5. Enter the Audit date (the date the audit was conducted).
  6. Select Upload audit.

The audit details appear in the Manual audits tab.

Screenshots may take up to a minute to appear after the upload is complete.

Delete a manual audit

Deleting a manual audit permanently deletes the audit results and can't be undone.

To delete a manual audit

  1. Go to Audits and select Manual audits.
  2. Select the Trash icon next to the audit.
  3. Select Delete audit.

View and resolve issues

  • Select an issue to open the remediation panel and resolve it.
  • Select a column heading to sort by ascending/descending order.
  • Use filters to organize your view (WCAG, Severity). Select again to remove the filter.
  • Select multiple issues for batch actions.

Manage multiple issues

Perform actions on multiple issues at once or select Issue ID to select all the issues on the page.

Select individual issues, or select Issue ID to select all issues on the page.

Choose an action from the toolbar:

  • Export (only available if you have Integrations enabled): Create issues in your integrated project management tool.
  • Resolve: Mark selected issues as Resolved.
  • Dismiss: Provide a reason and mark selected issues as Dismissed.
  • Assign: Select a team member or start typing to search for a team member and assign the issues.

CSV file format

The CSV file must include a header row and one row per finding.

Each row must include:

  • ID: A unique identifier for the finding.
  • Template: (optional) The web page type or category (e.g. Contacts, Homepage, Blog, General)
  • URL: The page where the issue appears.
  • Issue position: A selector or description of where the issue is located.
  • Issue: The issue description.
  • Solution: Recommended remediation guidance
  • Screenshot: (optional) A public URL to an image (for example, a shared Google Drive link).
  • WCAG Success Criteria: The relevant WCAG reference.
  • EN 301 549: The relevant compliance reference
  • WCAG conformance level: A, AA, or AAA
  • Accessibility impact/Severity: Severity level (e.g., low, medium, high)

Additional columns are ignored.
