Connect to Azure Board

Sync accessFlow issues with tickets in your Azure Board project.

Connect to Azure Board

You must be an Admin in Azure Board or have the necessary permissions for the relevant project.

Note: When setting up the connection to Azure Board, the URL must start with https://

To connect accessFlow to your Azure Board project

Requires a one-time setup to connect to the tool.

  1. Go to Integrations and select the Azure Board card. Screenshot of integrations
  2. Select Connect to Azure Board.
  3. Enter a name for the integration and select Next. Screenshot of Azure initial configuration
  4. In the Azure Board - Authentication window, only specify the Azure Board Site Name if you have multiple Azure Board sites, otherwise leave this blank. Select Connect. Screenshot of Azure authentication
  5. Login to your Azure Board account.
  6. Once you see the Authorization completed successfully window, close the tab.
  7. In the Azure Board Auth window select Next. Screenshot of Azure authenticated
  8. Select an Azure Board project to sync with accessFlow and select Next. Screenshot of select Azure project
  9. Select the type of issue to create in Azure Board. It's recommended to use a default Azure Board issue type. If you do choose a custom issue type, make sure it doesn't have any required fields or components.Screenshot of select work item type
  10. Map the status in accessFlow with a corresponding status in Azure Board. Each time the status of an issue in Azure Board is changed, the corresponding status in accessFlow is updated.
    Note: Workflow transitions between statuses must be configured in Azure Board. There can't be any validations that prevent transitions between statuses. Screenshot of map status
  11. Select Finish.
    Your Azure Board project is now synced to accessFlow.

Update the connection settings

You may want to change the Azure Board project for exporting issues or the type of issue to create in Azure Board.

To update the connection settings

  1. Go to Integrations and select the Azure Board card.

  2. Select Configure Integration.
  3. Select Reconfigure to change the Azure Board project and/or the type of issue to export.
  4. To disconnect Azure Board from accessFlow select Deactivate Integration. Screenshot of deactivate integration
  5. To confirm deactivation, type Delete and then select Deactivate Integration.

Export an issue

Export an issue from accessFlow into a ticket in your Azure Board project.

To export an issue

  1. Got to Explore and select an issue.
  2. In the remediation panel, select Export to create an issue in Azure Board as specified in the connection. Screenshot of export issue
